Impressions of Valencia in 2019. Research and interpretation of a new city scape through digital collage art.
I started my research about city architecture at the beginning of 2018 in my home town of Graz. This entails collecting photographic impressions of the subject to translate them into digital collages, and combining two digital mediums: Photography and Graphic Design. The substance is reduced to the absolute minimum and set free of all surroundings, so the observer can look at the object undistracted. In certain cases the shadow is emphasised and extended. This highlights the drama and suspense a simple element can create on our surroundings.
Impressions of Vienna during wintertime in 2018. It doesn’t matter where I go, facades follow me and keep drawing in my focus. Regardless if the facade is Imperial, Modern, or Art Nouveau, or even without shadows to underline their beauty, they can be extended in imagination or reduced to a minimum.
